Our first visit, and definitely won't be our last. Excellent food and service. The atmosphere loses 1 star only due to the loudness once the place fills up. That is also a testament to how good of a following of customers they have.
Can't say enough about Nuovo, it's an absolute gem. My family and I love coming here, from the food to the ambiance and the service. Every dish we've had has been spectacular, I'm a huge fan of their bolognese which I think is the best. The waiters are always so nice and engaging. An overall fantastic dining experience.
We had a great dinner at Nuovo the other night. The service was quick and on top of everything. The atmosphere is nice, perfect for family gatherings or date nights. The food was great!
First time at Nuovo! We made reservations for 7pm but when we arrived it seems it would have been fine if we hadn’t made them. There was plenty of seating available. We were seated right away. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. My husband and I shared a Caprese Salad for an appetizer. Delicious! My husband ordered Shrimp Scampi. He said it was absolutely delicious and enjoyed it very much. I ordered the Chicken Parm. The sauce was sweet which I didn’t mind. It was reminiscent of pizza from a place called Tripoli in Lawrence, MA. The chicken was tasty but I would have preferred that it was cooked a little more. I’m super particular on how I like my meats cooked and I’m sure that to someone else who would be eating the chicken, it would have been fine. Overall, the serving sizes were very large and both my husband and I had plenty of leftovers. Shrewsbury St. is pretty busy most of the time. However, Nuovo does have valet parking if needed. On the fence on whether I would go back or not. If I did, I’d probably try the lasagna. My husband , on the other hand, says he absolutely would go back.
I went there with a friend the other night in a Saturday - it was our first time. I usually go to Via's across the street, so I had high hopes. When I got there it was pretty packed. The food was great, the wine was great, the service was great. The only thing I would change are the single stall bathrooms :/
Thanks to Live To Eat Food for the reminder to visit Nuovo Restaurant in Worcester. I hadn’t been back since around the time they opened—10+ years ago—& let me say, they did not disappoint. We arrived around 6 PM, & the place was buzzing with at least three Christmas parties going on, so we grabbed seats at the bar. We started with some excellent martinis, then moved on to appetizers (after the bread, of course). We had the fig–mascarpone stuffed phyllo dough & the best chicken lemon orzo soup—truly unmatched anywhere else in the city. For entrées, he had the lobster pappardelle special, & I went with pasta in vodka sauce with meatballs. We were completely stuffed but still couldn’t resist ordering the blueberry-crumble cheesecake to go. Despite how busy they were, the service was great, & everything we had was spot-on.
Wonderful dining experience! Great ambiance ! I had the shrimp and scallops over pasta, which was home made( the pasta that is) absolutely fantastic! The wait staff is courteous, friendly and professional.
Nuovo offered an okay dining experience… I started with a Pink Lemon Drop Martini, which was well made. I ordered the Brie appetizer, which was hot and tasty. I asked if the duck wings were whole wings, and was told they were; however, they weren’t. I got 4 drums. They were a bit overcooked & very greasy…but duck is usually greasy anyway…so having them fried isn’t the best of ideas. The temperature in the restaurant was very warm, although my friend said she was comfortable….so maybe it was just me. Our table was very wobbly to where we had to stabilize it quite a few times as our drinks would almost spill. The service staff was very kind. It wasn’t a perfect meal/experience, but still worth the shot.
